Web Site Design and Development
Glowing Designs, Amy Edwards, has 5 and half
years of web design and development background. In addition,
we are versed with 9 years of computer and program experience
including in-house programs used at Loral (now Lockheed
Martin). The owner, Amy Edwards, is also an Honor's graduate
from Ridley Lowell Business Technical School in Binghamton,
NY.
Our qualifications range from HTML coding, Flash Design,
Photoshop, PHP, CGI, and E-Commerce. Our database development
is contracted out to our subcontract partner, Kent Allen.
This allows for successful completion of large, database
built sites in a reasonable time frame.
Programming
The background and experience of our partner,
Kent Allen…. 15 years in the IT industry, 4 years at
the Federal Reserve Bank of Richmond, 8 years at Federal
Reserve Information Technology (the consolidated IT branch
of the Federal Reserve System), 2 years at iXL. During his
freelancing, he has developed systems as wide reaching as
a Fax-on-demand system used at GE (automative parts division),
a job cost estimation system used at Honeywell (Hopewell,
Virginia plant), the ecommerce part of Thymic.com (databases
and eComm only), an internet web communications application
for a mortgage banking company in Atlanta, an online test
taking application for Emory University, FoodClassics.com,
and BaseballDigits.com. Kent also has significant development
experience in C, C++, Java, JSP, Javascript, XML, SOAP,
Php, Perl, Oracle, SAS, SQL, Visual Basic.
